Muslim Student Association of Northern Illinois University

Our Organization will be based on the Al-Qur’an and Al-Sunnah, both of which will be our guiding forces.

The Muslim Student Association Will act as a channel for transmitting the Islamic message to mankind, as the Qur’an mentions:

“Let be of you an ummah inviting to all that is good enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong. Theses are the ones to attain felicity.”

                                          (Al-Imran, Verse 104)

The Muslims who are members of the MSA of NIU will be those Muslims whose actions and behaviors conform to Islamic law, morals, ethics, and injunctions. They should be consistent in their Islamic work, or istiqamah (code of conduct), and be those mentioned in the Qur’an:

“The Believers, men and women , are protectors, of one and another; they enjoin what is just and forbid what is evil; they observe regular prayers, practice regular charity and they obey God and His Apostle. On them will God pour His Mercy, for God is Exalted in power, Wise.”

                                                      (At-Tawbah, verse 71)
